Activists call for consumer boycott
Staff Report
FRISCO — It may be lights out for Pacific bluefin tuna after the National Marine Fisheries Service last week reversed an earlier decision to restrict fishing for the dwindling species.
According to the emergency rule from the agency, the fishery will reopen until the 500 metric ton catch limit is reached. In a federal register notice, the agency said it imposed the closure prematurely.

Imaging for November Auction Nearly Complete
Yesterday at work was once again entirely devoted to imaging, and by the end of it the imaging for our November auction (Saturday 29th, Prince of Wales Suite, Fakenham Racecourse) was nearly complete. On Tuesday I will be in position to temporarily abandon imaging and work instead on the stock and auction sides of the database so that I the auction runs as smoothly as possible. My Twitter following continues to grow at a spectacular rate, and currently stands at 342, having overtaken that of @great_auction.
I have some decent images from yesterday for you…
A Hard Day’s Imaging
I have spent my entire working day imaging auction lots for James and Sons November Auction (Saturday 29th November, Prince of Wales Suite, Fakenham Racecourse, starts 10AM sharp). I have already tweeted some of the images and will be doing some more before today is out. Meanwhile collected here is a a selection of the best images…
Imaging With Three Different Cameras
Two batteries going phut in quick succession, first on the old Nikon that is our official work camera, and then on the second camera I used immediately afterwards meant that with my Nikon Coolpix P520 still at the repair shop most of my imaging today was done on my old Samsung, which after almost 5 years and 16,000 photos is still working as well as ever. Finally I concluded a day devoted entirely to imaging by using the scanner for some small items. I have plenty of decent pictures, some of which I have already put on twitter…
Out and About in King’s Lynn
King’s Lynn is benefiting from some pleasant weather today, and it is not just the human residents who have been enjoying it – a huge range of birds, some of which I captured in spite of still being restricted to my old Samsung. My twitter account continues to gain new followers.
Anyway now for some pictures…
Sunday Pics
Having dealt with BT I now return my usual blog posts, sharing today’s pictures, which include a glorious shot of remembrance day at King’s Lynn War Memorial…
BT Failing to Serve Rural Customers
I arrived at East Rudham for Sunday lunch today in time to catch the latter stages of a telephone conversation between my father and a BT Customer Services Operator regarding his internet connection. The internet connection in question was not working at all, and rather than listen and attempt to find a solution the operator was insistent on going on about resetting the router. This is asinine and offensive since the firs thing that anyone who is experiencing problems with an internet connection does is to reset the router.
Eventually the call ended with an arrangement for a supervisor to call back. By the time I left Rudham some five hours later this call back had still not materialised – disgraceful!!
My Latest King’s Lynn Pictures

Imaging and My Personal Twitter Account After Two Weeks
I spent most of today imaging lots for our November auction, full details as follows: Prince of Wales Suite, Fakenham Racecourse, November 29th, starts 10AM sharp. I have plenty of good pics to share with you as a result.
It is now two weeks since I launched by personal twitter account, @aspitweets, and I now have 114 followers, have been favourited over 200 times and have been named as one of the top retweeters. I will always follow more people than follow me because I have a strict “always followback” policy and not everyone else does.
Anyway, time for those pics…
