Databases, imaging and reaching the century of twitter followers

I spent this morning working on post sale reports, and ensuring that everything on said reports will fit on one page. Then  in the afternoon I did a nicely varied set of imaging. Away from the work front today saw a milestone worth a brief shout out: my personal twitter account, @aspitweets,  gained its 100th follower.

I have some interesting images for you…

King’s Lynn Under Leaden Skies

The wind was sufficiently high for there to be waves on the Great Ouse, the sky at its best was leaden, and still I managed two walks around King’s Lynn today, one either side of lunch which was at the new Mediterrenean restaurant on King’s Lynn High Street. I have some good photos  for you (albeit still with my second best camera)…

A tough day at James and Sons

In between unloading the van, sorting stuff for tomorrow’s fair and loading that stuff on to the van I did manage to get some imaging for the November sale (29th Nov, Prince of Wales Suite, Fakenham Racecourse) done. My first batch of imaging was d0ne with scanner as it consisted of tax discs and log books, then late in the day I did some photographing of a variety of interesting items. Here are the highlights as far as I was concerned…

Just to demonstrate the amount of editing necessary post scanning for best images this is what the unedited scans of a set of six discs look like!

Log books do not image particularly well, but I include this one as a sample.

Sunday

Yesterday started with another walk around King’s Lynn, with attendant photo opportunities. A Sunday lunch in East Rudham followed, and then a stroll home from my aunt’s by way of the riverside. My personal twitter account is booming at present – long my it continue. Enjoy some photos (even with the old camera they are not so bad!)…

November in King’s Lynn

Some decent weather in King’s Lynn today almost made up for the absence of my best camera, in Dereham for repairs, and probably not going to be available again for two more weeks. The £128 price tag for the repairs is also more than a minor vexation. Still in the course of walking to and from the Hardwick Estate (different route each way) I did get some good photos…
